TranslateMedia is offering an internship within the Operations team based in the London office. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic global translation agency with offices in London, New York, Poland and China.
Reporting to the Technology Delivery Manager, this placement will offer the successful candidate an insight into the business operations and technology development side of TranslateMedia, including hands-on administrative tasks and technology testing.
Fluent English is essential, knowledge of any other language is an advantage. While full training will be provided, any prior knowledge of translation technology, translation memory tools, machine translation, or software development practices/coding would be advantageous.
Key tasks will include:
- Tech support – receiving reports of technical issues within TranslateMedia’s platform, investigating them, resolving them together with the development team and communicating the resolutions to the relevant teams
- Software testing and development of documentation – TranslateMedia owns and operates a web-based translation management platform, STREAM, which is continually advancing with new components that require testing and user documentation
- User management tasks – supporting tasks for all internal TranslateMedia processes for new starters, leavers, email setup, holiday system setup, etc.
- Source file processing – pre-processing and filtering files using memoQ and other tools to prepare them for translation
The role is available immediately.
