Translation Services

We offer our clients a wide range of language services, ranging from translating single documents to large-scale international e-commerce website translation projects.

Regardless of the size and complexity of your translation project, we will ensure you are assigned the right team and have access to the right technology to make your project a success.

Our Expertise

At TranslateMedia, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest levels of customer service. If you have a small translation project that is urgent, we’re able to provide an express service with a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround. For larger projects, we ensure that we assign a dedicated team with the necessary knowledge and experience of your industry sector, and tailor our services to your needs in order to deliver translation projects on time and within budget.

All of our project managers are trained linguists who have Masters degrees in a translation-related field. All projects are managed by dedicated managers with at least 3 years’ experience working with some of the world’s largest, well-known brands and international marketing agencies.

Our Network of Linguists

We have a network of over 7,000 native linguists with experience in various fields. All of our linguists are qualified professionals with lots of experience. Several have worked on translating and localizing some of the world’s best-known technology products. Many have worked for decades in your industry sector, and many have PhDs in relevant disciplines.  We maintain close relationships with our translators to ensure that we’re able to select trustworthy linguists who can be relied on to deliver, even at short notice and unsociable hours.

Our Review Process

We are committed to providing our clients with the best available linguists with experience in the client’s industry sector. As a result, we’re constantly evaluating our translators’ performance. We have demanding systems in place to monitor and manage our network of linguists, with a dedicated quality management and recruitment team – all of whom are themselves qualified linguists.

We set key performance metrics to measure levels of fluency, accuracy, tone and register, as well as a number of other factors. All translations are peer-reviewed. By using technology to monitor, measure and report quality metrics and alert our quality team to any potential issues, we are able to ensure that all translations are completed to the highest possible standards.

In addition, these quality metrics are analyzed on an ongoing basis to allow us to match linguists with the best scores in particular languages and industry sectors with our clients’ requirements.

Our Translation Work

Instead of simply providing a literal translation of your text, we’re here to provide support, offer advice, and ensure that your content is transcreated (or culturally adapted) for your target market. Native speakers of a local language should not be able to identify your text as a translation – regardless of the source and target languages.

In order to successfully adapt content for use in global advertising, marketing campaigns or websites, thorough knowledge of the source and target language, and an in-depth knowledge of the local culture, are required in order to transcreate the copy, concepts and messages.

We recognize that transcreation requires a completely different mindset, and therefore different systems, processes and deliverables. As a result, we have a dedicated transcreation team at TranslateMedia, where we employ the most creative project managers and linguists to work on our clients’ projects.

Our Technology

We develop our own proprietary technology which allows us to streamline processes and improve productivity in order to remain competitive and provide the best value for our clients. These tools allow our teams to concentrate on the quality of the translations and delivering exceptional levels of customer service, rather than being burdened by administrative tasks.

Our STREAM Translation Workflow Technology allows us to manage huge volumes of work with the highest levels of efficiency. Quality assurance is built into all stages of the process.

We have translation memory systems in place for every client, which allows previous translations to be stored and reused in situations where there are repetitions in the source text. The use of translation memories not only allows additional time and cost savings, which we pass on to our clients, but it also improves quality and consistency in the long term.

In certain situations, it might be advisable to use a combination of human and machine translation. We’re able to advise you on the best approach to both translation memory and machine translation to make sure you get the best translations at the lowest possible cost.

Depending on the type of project, we’re able to plug into a variety of systems to retrieve and deliver content. We also have a fully-functioning API for STREAM, allowing clients with significant translation work or ongoing projects to integrate their own content management systems and other related technology.

Our Awards & Accreditations

Our focus on quality and system processes allowed us to become one of the first agencies to be accredited with an ISO 17100 certification back in 2007 – the first quality standard specific to professional translation services.

We’ve been independently audited by Bureau Veritas, and have since achieved the internationally recognized ISO9001 quality standard. Their auditors rated our systems and processes as “world-class, not just in this industry, but in any”.

We are a member of Association of Translation Companies in the UK, the American Translators’ Association in the United States, and are a Microsoft Silver Partner in Web Development, meaning that we are placed in the top 5 percent of Microsoft technology partners across the globe.

We were one of just six translation companies to feature in Forrester’s Market Overview for Language Service Providers in 2013, and have been featured in the Deloitte Fast 50 UK (2010-2012), Fast 500 EMEA (2010-2013), GP Bullhound’s Media Momentum Top 50 (2011-2013), and Red Herring Top 100 Europe 2014.
