There are quite a few different kinds of certification of Greek translations inside each country as well.
TranslateMedia is, in certain cases, able to certify Greek translations by stamping them in-house before issuing the translated document, and providing letters of authenticity. In certain circumstances, we are able to have Greek translations notarized – this is usually the case if the documents are going to be used for legal purposes in other countries.
Some countries operate a system of Sworn Translators, who are registered with local courts who give them a stamp on their translations or give them specific stamps and stationery to use on their translations.
There are also situations where you may need an affidavit, or even legalization of a translation from a government department.
Each situation is different, so it is always worth checking what sort of certification is required by the authority requesting the Greek translation from you. If you explain your situation to us, we will be able to give you specific advice.
We have specialist teams of Greek linguists in various fields and competences. They are experts in their industry, with relevant knowledge and experience, and we assign them to work according to their skills sets.
Although many of our Greek linguists are located in Greece we also have a large number of mother tongue Greek translators and interpreters dispersed all around the world. Our global Project Management presence and dispersed teams of Greek translators means that we can offer you real advantages where you have tight turnaround requirements.

||Irene – I am a native speaker/writer of English and Greek and expert speaker/writer of Italian and French. I therefore translate from Italian, French and Greek into English and from English, Italian and French into Greek. I have been translating since 1988 and specialize in financial, accounting, banking, marketing, business and legal texts. My translating experience is solidly backed by the experience I gained working as a high level corporate executive with UNICEF, BBDO Advertising, Fashion Publications International and Warner Bros. Licensing while I hold a B.Sc. in Economics and an M.B.A. Central Michigan University. I translate over one million words per year in the subjects that I specialize in, for several of the top translation agencies in the U.S.A. and Europe and major international clients in accounting (e.g., the IASCF), banking (many major Italian banks), fashion (White, major Italian designers) and the other areas I specialize in.Irene has translated 323695 words for TranslateMedia since 30/05/2007.
||Emilia – My name is Emilia Prekate-Kyminas and I have been working as a professional freelance translator since 2003. I mainly specialize in legal, automotive, marketing/advertising, IT, business/commerce, football and EU translations. I have a BA in Translation from the University of Corfu, Greece. Translation has been my dream since the age of 15 when I first heard of it. In my first translation work after college, I was very lucky to work for 5 years as a communication & project coordinator for a major Greek translation company and to get in touch with the other, more practical aspect of translation, the organizing aspect and to understand more thoroughly the clients’ special demands and needs. Additionally, I have been working, since 2003, as a freelance translator for major local and international translation and other companies. I love to be able to facilitate understanding between people and I strive to provide quality, reliable and accurate translations. I am happily married and live in Piraeus, Greece. All my free time is devoted to my 3-year old son, Nicholas-Victor, who constantly makes sure my hands are kept very busy either with painting or playing football or playing the pirates or assaulting ‘enemy’ dinosaurs! I am very blessed to have my family and to be able to work as a translator for a living.Emilia has translated 297935 words for TranslateMedia since 27/10/2008.
